Students began working on games to teach multiplication facts to 12. This is an open-ended activity that will take place over several weeks and will include oral language, procedural writing and media literacy.
Math: We will be starting our data management unit this week. Students will learn how to create and read a variety of data. It is very important when displaying data in a variety of graphs that titles and labels are included to give information about the data. Students will also learn how to read data and answer questions about the information, for example, How many more.....?, How many fewer.....?, How many people were surveyed altogether?
Language: We are retelling a narrative writing story using a graphic organizer to ensure all components are included. This will provide practice for students before creating and writing their own story.
Homework: Cursive writing practice sheets will be coming home this week. Also, please watch this video about bar graphs and do the practice session.
